Voters will go to the polls Tuesday, March 1, to cast ballots in contested local, state and national races.
All of the polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Hockley County residents will decide the outcome of several contested races, including sheriff, district attorney, two commissioners and one for constable.
County residents should cast ballots in the precinct where they are registered to vote.
Residents should have their voter cards with them – as well as some form of photographic identification like a driverís license.
A total of 1,250 people had voted early by the end of Thursday, said Election Administrator Cheryl Smart.
The turnout for this election so far has been less than expected, Smart said.
‘I think a lot of people are undecided,’ she said.
