The Levelland City Council will meet tonight, August 15, at 7 p.m. at City Hall to hold a public hearing on the proposed tax rate of $.78 per $100 value and to hold a public hearing on the 2016 Texas Capital Fund Main Street Program.
The council may convene into executive session to consult with legal counsel about pending or contemplated litigation, settlement offers or as required under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State of Texas when in conflict with Chapter 551, in regards to Emilia Espinoza v. Levelland Police Department, et al. Civil Action No. 5:16-cv-00016-C and the 2016 SPS Rate Case.
In open session, the council will consider and take necessary action on appointments to the Main Street Advisory Board. They will consider and take necessary action on quarterly investment report, authorizing the sale of surplus vehicles, amending the electrical service franchise agreement with Southwestern Public Service (Ordinance #1007, on the second reading).
