Levelland police officers responded to a two vehicle accident involving a Levelland ISD school bus, Thursday, at the intersection of Avenue C and 10th Street.
According to police, the driver of the bus, Trevina Franklin, failed to yield the right of way to the Ford truck, driven by Manuel Avita, causing the bus to strike the truck as it turned north onto Avenue C.
The school bus was empty and no injuries were reported.
‘I got a call that there was an incident between one of our empty school buses and a pick up truck and there were no children involved,’ said Donna Pugh, instructional services director. ‘It was a minor traffic accident and no one was injured.’
