By Kati Walker

The Department of Public Safety served a search warrant at 407 Ave. L, Thursday, which resulted in the arrest of two Levelland men, Alfred Sepulbeda, Jr., 46, and Adam Hernandez Martinez, 30.

The two men were charged with manufacture, delivery, of a  controlled substance after officers discovered a quantity of methamphetamine and cocain in the house.

The search warrant also revealed stolen credit cards and checks. The forged checks were turned over to the Levelland police department for further investigation.

Since the house was within 1,000 feet of a park, Cpl. John Gonzales said they may face heightened charges.

Sepulbeda was jailed on the charge and on four warrants out of Levelland. He is being held on a $7,333 bond. Martinez is being held on a $5,700 bond.

DPS was assisted by the Levelland police department, highway patrol and the Hockley County District Attorney’s office.

Cpl. Gonzales said the case is in connection to other cases and there will be more arrests.
