The Texas Department of Transportation will be replacing signal light heads at the intersection of Houston Street and College Avenue today, January 24, and Wednesday, January 25.
Gary McLendon, supervisor for TxDOT, advises motorists should remain attentive while traveling through the intersection and be aware of lane changes. He warns the area will be congested for at least two days.
“Just be attentive,” McLendon said. “There will be people in those buckets and we don’t want anybody to get hit.”
He also said the wiring for the lights will need to be replaced. McLendon hopes the work will be finished by Thursday.
