Curtis Lowery named new athletic director at Levelland ISD

The Levelland ISD Board of Trustees met in a special meeting, Thursday, to approve hiring Curtis Lowery as the new athletic director and head football coach for LISD.

Lowery currently serves as the assistant head football coach, run game coordinator, offseason coordinator and head powerlifting coach at Glen Rose ISD. Prior, he served as the assistant head coach and offensive coordinator at Snyder ISD.

He began his coaching career in 2004 at Grandview ISD as the offensive and defensive line coach, head powerlifting coach and assistant track coach.

Throughout his career, Lowery has coached teams to one state championship, one semifinal appearance, three quarterfinal appearances, three area final appearances and four bi-district appearances.

In 2012, Lowery served as the run game coordinator at Stephenville ISD where his team was named State Champions.

Lowery is a graduate of Texas Tech University and Stephenville ISD.
