The Levelland City Council met for an hour in executive session Monday night to discuss several items, including the employment of City Manager Rick Osburn.
After 36 years of service, Osburn turned in his retirement notice to the city council, effective January 29, 2018.
As a result, Osburn recommended the city enter into employment negotiations with Erik Rejino, assistant city manager, to take over upon Osburn’s effective retirement.

The city council voted to approve the recommendation.
