Nicci McIntire Palermo wins primary election over incumbent Irene Gumula

Nicci McIntire Palermo won the Republican seat for Hockley County Clerk in the 2018 Primary Election.

The final vote count shows Palermo winning the position with 1,231 votes over incumbent, Irene Gumula, who garnered 913 votes.

There is not a democratic opponent for the Hockley County Clerk position and at this time Palermo will run uncontested in the 2018 general election.

Voters in Hockley County also favored Ken King for State Representative for District 88. He won the county with 1,025 votes. Jason Huddleston earned 859 votes and Richard Beyea earned 371 votes.
