Sheriff seeks information on missing woman

Sheriff Ray Scifres announced his department is working a missing person’s case and seeking Jeannie Quinn, 20, of Levelland.

Jeannie Quinn was officially reported missing on Sunday evening to Levelland police. After learning the woman lived outside the city limits, the Hockley County Sheriff’s Department took over the investigation.

Quinn was reportedly last seen in the Abilene area over the weekend, Scifres said. She is described to be approximately 5’1′ to 5’3′ in height, weighing approximately 105 lbs. She has brown hair and blue eyes and was last seen in a 2011 Toyota pickup, silver in color, bearing Texas license plate 8NHMD.

‘The sheriff’s office is actively investigating the matter and is asking for assistance from the public in hopes of Ms. Quinn’s safe return,’ Scifres said.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Hockley County Sheriff’s Office by calling 894-3126 or their local law enforcement agency.
