DPS seizes more than 300 grams of meth

A representative with DPS told the News-Press Friday that special agents with the Criminal Investigations Division executed a search warrant at a residence in the 800 block of Avenue A Friday around 9:30 a.m. and arrested five people and seized more than 300 grams of methamphetamine.
Robert Vestal, 31, a confirmed gang member of the West Texas Tangos, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance between four and 200 grams.
Joanna Flores, 34, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance between four and 200 grams, criminal mischief, possession of a dangerous drug and criminal instrument.
Lori Ann Cardona, 33, was arrested for two counts possession of a dangerous drug, possession of a controlled substance less than one gram, and fraudulent use or possession of identifying information.
Alejandro Garza, Jr., 32, and Melissa Marquez, 34, were both arrested for possession of a controlled substance between four and 200 grams.
Agents seized methamphetamine, mostly in liquid form, that had a total weight of 319 grams, according to DPS. All five subjects are being held at the Hockley County Jail. As of Friday afternoon, their bonds had not been set.
