Phillips’ sister reported to police in May that the last time she had spoken with Phillips was in February of this year.
“The Levelland Police Department would like to thank everyone who called and provided information about her whereabouts,” Garcia said. “We would also like to thank all the news affiliates who assisted our department in disseminating the information. I know it was due to everyone’s effort and hardwork that the family will be able to rest easy in knowing she has been found.”
Garcia said Phillips has been located in Tom Green County and is in custody there.
“Throughout the course of the investigation, investigators had been receiving many calls, one of which pointed us to the San Angelo area,” Garcia said. “After reaching out to the agencies in that area, San Angelo Police did locate Miss Phillips in their city where she was ultimately arrested for outstanding warrants. Remember, Taylor’s safety and welfare was our primary concern, not the warrants and we are just so pleased that she is alive and well. This is another example of how the our citizens and the great people in our state can make a difference.”
