Wanda J. Shellenberger

Wanda J. Shellenberger, 75, of Medicine Lodge, Kansas, died Monday, September 16, 2019, at her residence.
She was born on June 13, 1944, in Oskaloosa, Missouri,  the daughter of Clarence Orville LaCore and Pauline Elizabeth Myers LaCore.  
On May 25, 1963, she married Vernon Shellenberger in Sun City, Kansas.  He survives.
Wanda was a member of the Whiteface Baptist Church, in Whiteface, Texas.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, Vernon Shellenberger of Medicine Lodge, are: three daughters: Theresa (Cecil) Gee of Medicine Lodge, Katie (Greg) Gee of Chico, Texas and Paula (John) Lackey of Poolville, Texas; six grandchildren: Lacy (Joey) Evans, Anna Gee, J.L. Hall, T.J. (Tia) Lackey, Monique Lackey and Gavin Gee; three great-grandchildren: Kassidy Gee, Kamden Gee and Tanner Lacky; three sisters: Dorothy (Lyle) Keller, Linda Rickard, and Betty (Larry) Paasch, all of Medicine Lodge; and many nieces and nephews.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; one son, James Shellenberger; one great-grandson, Kayden Evans; three sisters: Helen LaCore, Reba Taylor and Mary Houchin; and two brothers, Orville LaCore and George LaCore.
Friends may sign the guest book on Wednesday, September 18, at Larrison Funeral Home, located at 120 E. Lincoln, Medicine Lodge, Kansas, 67104, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 19, at 10 a.m. at Community Bible Fellowship of Medicine Lodge with Pastor Dwain Richert officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Medicine Lodge.
Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in care of the funeral home.
