YuVonne “Vonnie” DeArmond

YuVonne “Vonnie” DeArmond, 81, of Levelland passed from this life on October 16, 2019, at her home. 
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, October 18, 2019, at Krestridge Funeral Home. 
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 19, at Austin Street Church of Christ of Levelland.
Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery.
Vonnie was born July 12, 1938, in Santa Anna, Texas, to Floyd and Billie Windham Riley.
She attended Levelland High School.
Vonnie married Jack DeArmond on April 22, 1953, in Levelland. 
She was a lifetime member of the Austin Street Church of Christ. 
Vonnie was an officer for the area American Cancer Society, troop cookie chairperson and day camp volunteer for the Girl Scouts and manager and on the board of directors for the Hockley County Food Box.
She helped others anytime she was able.  She loved the Lord and all of His people. She was a rock to her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Billie Riley; husband, Jack DeArmond; son, Derl DeArmond; sister, Mona Merritt; brother, Roddy Riley; and grandson, Ross Orman.
Vonnie is survived by her daughter, Debbie Britton and husband, Danny, of Levelland; son, Dirk DeArmond and wife, Kim, of Graham; grandchildren: Drew DeArmond and wife, Carrie, of Three Rivers, Shayna Scott and husband, Lance, of Levelland, Colt Orman of Levelland, Dane DeArmond and wife, Kristin of Graham, Kade DeArmond of Dallas, Dutchess DeArmond of Graham and Cody Britton of Sundown; and 10 great- grandchildren.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family suggests donations to the Derl DeArmond Memorial Scholarship in care of South Plains College.
