Barbara Lee Brockman Harmon

Memorial services for Barbara Lee Brockman Harmon will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 9, at Krestridge Funeral Home of Levelland with Jessie Hodge officiating.
Barbara Lee Brockman Harmon was born June 25, 1944, to Marcus W. “Sonny” and Opal Brockman, in Bay City, Texas.
She attended Levelland High School, and at the age of 16, she became a licensed cosmetologist.
Barbara married James Harmon in 1962, and became the mother of two daughters, Sherrie Harmon and Stacy Harmon.
In addition to working as a beautician, Barbara found hobbies to use her artistic skills while allowing her to have fun and socialize.
She had a lemonade stand, a Texas Thins potato stand with a few hamburgers thrown in. She also made and sold jewelry and created ceramic ornaments.
Barbara enjoyed going to bingo halls and never turned down a trip to the nearest casino.
She spent many hours on the computer playing games and eating spicy trail mix. Barbara loved life.
Barbara moved to the Rowlett, Texas area in 2006, in order to be near her daughters and her granddaughter, Kiley.
Despite struggles with chronic pain and a weakened heart, few days went by that she didn’t hear, “You look so good!” So true, she always looked great.
Barbara lived independently until she passed away in Dallas on October 10, 2019, when her heart lost its battle.
Ms. Harmon was preceded in death by her parents, Sonny and Opal Brockman.
She is survived by her daughters, Sherrie Harmon (Susan) of Rowlett and Stacy Tillery (Patricia) and granddaughter, Kiley Tillery of Royce City; and her pup Lily.
She is also survived by her brother, Larry Brockman (Millie) of Levelland; and her sister, Martha Burton of Lubbock.
Additionally, Barbara had many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who adored her.
Barbara maintained a close relationship with her Brockman family, as well as her Harmon family.
All will immensely miss her and her upbeat Southern drawl. And now we say, “Love you, Shug!” and Thank you, Hon!” for giving us 75 years of you!
The family suggests memorials to your favorite charity in Barbara’s name.
