Willie Lee Lockett

Funeral services for Willie Lee Lockett, 59, of Levelland, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 16, at the First United Methodist Church with pastors John Sanders and Alvin Childress and Bishop McDowell  officiating and music provided by Margaret Golightly and Debra Franklin.
Burial will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery, under the direction of Head Duarte Funeral Home of Levelland.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. everyday from Monday, November 11, through Friday, November 15, at Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel in Levelland.
He passed away November 6, 2019, in Lubbock.
Willie was born July 26, 1960, to Nodie and Allean Garrett Lockett, in Levelland.
He attended school in Levelland and worked as a handy man and a self-employed general laborer. 
Willie taught adult Bible study at the Macedonia Church in Anton for many years. 
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, running electric cars, visiting friends, reading his Bible, barbecuing and grilling outside, listening to christen music and spending time with his family during special occasions.
He was preceded in death by hist parents, Nodie and Allean Lockett; grandparents:, Obadiah and Louise Garrett; and four brothers: Hobart Lockett, Ronnie Lockett, Theodore Lockett and Allen Lockett.
He is survived by his companion of 14 years, Joyce Stewart; niece, Tanna Lockett; nephew, Tyrone Lockett, all of Levelland; aunts, Dorothea Brown of Houston and Liz Weatherall of Levelland; and uncle, Finley Garrett of San Antonio.
