Leonel M. Castellano, Jr.

Leonel M. Castellano, Jr. of San Antonio, formerly of Levelland, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2020, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family. He was 71 years old. 
He was born in Robstown, Texas, on April 28, 1948.
Leonel served in the United States Army and served in the National Guard for 22 years, he retired from the City of San Antonio after working 17 years.
He will be deeply missed by his wife of 25 years, Adela Castellano.
Leonel was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church where he served as a Brother In Christ and Disciples of Christ. 
He served as an usher and did landscaping for over 20 years at the church, he will be deeply missed by the Parish.
Leonel was preceded in death by his father, Leonel Castellano Sr.; mother, Bertha M. Castellano; brother, Joe M. Castellano Sr.; and son, Rene F. Castellano.
He will be missed by his daughters: Bertha (Steve), Shirley, Dorothy and step-daughter, Tina (Frank); and sons, Leo and Aaron, all of San Antonio; brothers: Gabriel (Estella) of Levelland and Noe (Esther) and Leonardo (Lorraine), both  of Amarillo; sisters, Janie Morales (Albert, Sr.) of Levelland and Olga Castellano of Lubbock; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Leonel enjoyed doing yard work, watching wrestling, listening to tejano music, doing community services in his Parish and spending quality time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by many.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, at Castillo Mission Funeral Home, with the reciting of the Rosary to be held at 7 p.m. 
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 2, at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 1515 Saltillo Street, San Antonio, Texas, 78207.
