Hockley County now has 10 total confirmed cases of COVID-19

With one new case reported Sunday and two reported Saturday, Hockley County’s total of confirmed cases of COVID-19 is now at 10.

The Department of State Health Services reported the most recent case of COVID-19 Sunday. Hockley County Judge Sharla Baldridge said that person is a Levelland resident between the ages of 50 and 60 years old and is believed to be associated with another known case. Baldridge said the person is hospitalized.

Two cases were reported Saturday, one a Levelland resident between the ages of 20 and 30 years old and the other an Anton resident between the ages of 40 and 50 years old.

Judge Baldridge also urged residents to continue practicing social distancing and to only go out for essential services or activities.
