Total COVID-19 cases in Hockley County rises to 12

The total cases of COVID-19 in Hockley County rose to 12 Wednesday with two new cases confirmed.

The Department of State Health Services informed the Hockley County Judge Wednesday of two total additional cases of COVID-19 Wednesday, bringing the county’s total confirmed cases to 12.

The first new case was reported Wednesday afternoon involving a Levelland resident between the ages of 40 and 50 years old. The second case reported Wednesday also involves a Levelland resident between the ages of 40 and 50 years old. Neither patient is hospitalized at this time.

Hockley County has also reported one recovery and one death.
