Cochran County reports first COVID-19 case

Cochran County Judge Pat S. Henry released information Wednesday that the county had received confirmation of its first COVID-19 case. 

Judge Henry said the Department of State Health Services confirmed the positive case Wednesday afternoon. The case involves a Whiteface resident between the ages of 20 and 30 years old.

This is Cochran County’s first confirmed case of COVID-19. Judge Henry said the investigation is ongoing into what contacts the person may have had and that he will release more information as it becomes available.
