David Darrell Elliott

David Darrell Elliott, at the age of 82, passed away June 3, 2020, in Levelland.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, June 5, at Krestridge Funeral Home. 
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 6, at First Baptist Church.  
Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery.
David was born February 3, 1938, in Big Spring and was raised by Otha Darrell and Elizabeth Young Elliott. 
He attended 11 different public schools and eventually graduated from Hermleigh High School.
David married Mary Kay Rankin July 13, 1968, and would have celebrated their 52nd anniversary next month.  
They spent their entire married lives in Levelland. 
David was the proud father of two sons, Dave and Sammy.
He entered the armed services out of high school and served for three years in the United States Army. 
David worked for 30 years in the oil field operation with Amoco.  
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Levelland and was ordained and served as a deacon for many years.  
David was heavily involved in the River Ministry Mission trips to Juarez where he worked, led, and served wherever he was needed.
He was involved in scouting for many years where he volunteered for over 12 years.
David  was preceded in death by his parents, Otha Darrell and Pauline; as well as his step-mother, Elizabeth Elliott; brother, Stanley Elliott; and sister, Patsy Dillavou.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Kay Elliott; two sons, Dave (Brenda) Elliott of Frisco, Texas and Sammy (Anita) Elliott of Levelland; two brothers, Jimmy (Nancy) Williams of Abilene and Tommy (Mary) Williams of Early, Texas; one sister, Janie (Bill) Kennedy of Amarillo; one sister-in-law, Esther Garner White of New Home; and six grandchildren: Jeffrey, Luke, Lauren, Macy, Hope and Kyle.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations are made to Missions, in care of First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 700, Levelland, Texas 79336.
