A Catholic funeral mass service of Christian burial for William J. Flores “Bill,” 84, of Lamesa, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 13, with limited gathering at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, with Father Joseph Kurumbel and Father Jonathan Phillips officiating, with the assistance of Deacon Daniel Valenzuela and Deacon Saul Hernandez.
Burial committal will follow to the City of Levelland Cemetery in Levelland, under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
Visitation and viewing will be held Friday, June 12, at Gonzales Funeral Home with a Rosary prayer service starting at 7 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.

Bill passed away Thursday, June 11, 2020 at his home in Lamesa, surrounded by his family.
He was born November 19, 1935, in Cotula, Texas.
Bill married Juanita “Janie” Guajardo March 5, 1960, in Lubbock.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, Alfredo Flores and his mother, Apolonia Johnson; daughter, Florentina “Flo” Mendez; daughter-in-law, Linda Flores; and brother, Pete Flores.
Bill loved spending any time with his precious family.
He loved reminiscing on old memories and sharing talks and laughter over a good cup of coffee.
Bill was a member the Catholic church, Los Cursillistas, and the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his family, his wife, Janie Flores of Lamesa; daughters: Laurie Gutierrez of Lamesa, Ofelia Flores of Huntsville and Corrina Lawrence and husband, Larry, of Huntsville; sons: Bill Flores and wife, Sylvia, of Lubbock, Andrew Flores of Lamesa and Mark Flores and wife, Patti, of Midland; step-mother, Lupe Flores of Taylor; brothers: Oscar Flores of Houston, Johnny Flores of Bryan, Paul Flores of Smyer, Nacho Flores of San Antonio and Alfredo Flores, Jr. of Levelland; sisters: Dolores Guerrero of Levelland, Amelia Guthrie of Adrian, Michigan, Mary Honesto of Morton, Emma Castillo of Adrian, Michigan, Beatrice Flores and Monica Olmeda, both of San Antonio, Leticia Perez of Hutto and Angie Sauceda of Taylor; 24 grandchildren; 30 great- grandchildren; 10 great-great- grandchildren; and numerous relatives and friends.
