Sales tax down in Levelland, rises in Cochran County

Sales tax revenues are down 11.10 percent this month compared to the same time last year, according to numbers released by the Texas Comptroller’s Office this week.

Total net payments this period totaled $443 million throughout the state, which is 11 percent less than the same period last year, which was $498 million.

In Levelland, revenues from sales tax are down 17.34 percent this period and 16.56 percent for the year.
