Two new Levelland cases reported Monday

Hockley County Judge Sharla Baldridge said two new cases of COVID-19 had been confirmed by the Department of State Health Services Monday, both involving Levelland residents.

One case involves a person between the ages of 30 and 40 years old and the other case involves a person between the ages of 20 and 30 years old.

The new cases bring the total active cases in Hockley County to nine, including eight Levelland residents and one Anton resident. According to the judge, there are 37 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Hockley County, including 27 recoveries, including two cases that were closed due to lost contact; one death, and nine active cases.
