Patricia “Pat” Ann Oliver, 90 years old, passed from this life on July 1, 2020.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 6, in the Krestridge Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery.
Pat was born the only girl to Lewis and Essie Barton on August 14, 1929.
She was born on her father’s birthday. Pat said he always said “she was the best birthday present he ever got!”
Pat was a long time resident of Levelland.
She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Levelland.
Pat sang in the Sonshine Choir and enjoyed going on trips with the group.
After graduating from public school, she attended Jesse Lee’s Hair Institute in Lubbock where she obtained her beauty license.
She married the love of her life, Billy Joe Oliver on November 4, 1949. They spent 62 years together before his passing in 2011.
Pat was an amazing beautician for many years. Her shop was Levi’s and Lace in Levelland.
Pat and Billy Joe also owned and operated Southland Beauty Supply in Levelland and West Texas Beauty Supply in Lubbock.
Pat was always looking for others to help and take care of. She was a true friend!
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Essie Barton; brothers, Amos and Carl Barton; husband, Billy Joe; and her three sons: Randy Doyle, Bobby Joe and Michael Wayne Oliver.
Survivors include her daughter in law, Darla Oliver of Slaton; grandsons, Chase (Ashley) Cantrell of Slaton and Jade Oliver of Levelland; granddaughters, Kodi Breckinridge of Krum, Texas and Kyria (Timothy) Platt of Levelland; daughter, Deborah Oliver of Colorado; brother, Jerald Wayne (Kathy) Oliver of Brownfield; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of true friends.
