A memorial service for Mary Frescaz, 66, of Levelland, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 24, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with Pastor Jonathan Phillips officiating, under the direction of Head Duarte Funeral Home of Levelland.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, July 23, with the reciting of the Rosary to be held at 7 p.m. at Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel.
She passed away July 14, 2020, in Levelland.
Mary was born February 1, 1954, to Pablo and Antonia Gomez Frescaz in Levelland.
She was a 1972 graduate of Levelland High School and a 1974 graduate of South Plains College. She was a cheerleader on the Lady Texan Cheerleading Squad.
Mary worked for the Hockley County Courthouse for a total of 33 years, in the Tax Office and County Clerk Office combined. She also worked for Walmart for many years.
Mary was known for her kindness, and being an awesome mother to her son, Joseph.
She loved her family dearly and she never hesitated to help others.
She loved George Straight and passed that on to her son.
Her passion was making arts and crafts and baking delicious cakes for weddings and birthday parties.
Mary would be seen taking her daily walks inside Walmart with her son by her side. They would smile at everyone as they passed by.
No one could hold a candle to Mary, as her beauty shined through everything she touched.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Reymundo Frescaz; and sister, Patsy Frescaz.
She is survived by her son, Joseph Frank Hinojosa; and sister, Virginia “Gina” Frescaz, both of Levelland; brothers: Paul (Cathy) Frescaz of Catoosa, Oklahoma, John (Linda Kay) Frescaz of Levelland and Frank Frescaz of Mason City, Iowa; and a host of nephews and nieces.
