New cases, recoveries reported in Hockley County

Hockley County Judge Sharla Baldridge said 12 new cases of COVID-19 were reported late Wednesday, and two new cases were reported Thursday, along with 23 new recoveries. There are now a total of 144 confirmed cases in Hockley County, including 92 recoveries, 48 active cases and four deaths.

The new cases reported Wednesday and Thursday involved 12 Levelland residents and two Smyer residents. Of the Levelland cases, one was between the ages 10 and 20 years old, one case was between the ages of 20 and 30 years old, three cases were between the ages of 30 and 40 years old, three cases were between the ages of 40 and 50 years old, one case was between the ages of 50 and 60 years old, two cases were between the ages of 60 and 70 years old and one case was between the ages of 80 and 90 years old.

Both Smyer cases reported were between the ages of 10 and 20 years old.
