Eight new cases of COVID-19 were reported Tuesday by Hockley County Judge Sharla Baldridge.
Judge Balridge said the new cases involve six Levelland residents, one Smyer resident and one Ropesville resident.
The age ranges of the Levelland cases are as follows: two cases between the ages of 20 and 30 years old, two cases between the ages of 60 and 70 years old, one case between the ages of 30 and 40 years old, and one case between the ages of 70 and 80 years old.
The Smyer resident is between the ages of 40 and 50 years old and the Ropesville resident is between the ages of 50 and 60 years old.
There have now been a total of 187 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Hockley County, including 117 recoveries, 66 active cases and four deaths.
