New cases of COVID-19 were reported in Hockley County this week, and new recoveries were reported Thursday.
Hockley County Judge Sharla Baldridge said six new cases were reported Friday and five new cases were reported Thursday.
She also said that 21 new recoveries were reported by DSHS on Thursday.
There have now been a total of 198 cases reported in Hockley County, including 138 recoveries, four deaths, leaving 56 active cases.
The new cases reported Friday involved three Levelland residents, a resident of the county, and two Anton residents.
The Levelland cases involve residents between the ages of 10 and 20 years old and the ages of 40 and 50 years old.
The county resident is between the ages of 30 and 40 years old and both Anton residents are between the ages of 20 and 30 years old.
The new cases reported Thursday involved three Levelland residents between the ages of 10 and 20 years old, 20 and 30 years old, and 30 and 40 years old.
The Thursday cases also involved one Anton resident between the ages of 30 and 40 years old and one Ropesville resident between the ages of 20 and 30 years old.
