The family of Barbara Burleson hosted a time of fellowship and remembrance from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Thursday, November 12, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 20, at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Our beloved Barbara “Mama” Burleson went to be with the Lord on November 8, 2020.
On July 2, 1936, Barbara was born to James and Natalie Crawford in Hedley, Texas.
She graduated from Smyer High School, where she met and then married her love and best friend, Billie”BR” Burleson.
They had been married 56 years at the time of his passing.
Besides spending time with her family and friends, she dedicated her life to the farming industry.
She and BR farmed in the Smyer community and she worked at Citizen’s Co-op Gin for 48 years.
Barbara adored her grandchildren, Tate, Ben, Brennon and Jaysa and she was so in love with her great- granddaughter, Reese.
Survivors include their children: Becky and Eric Maul of Lubbock, Cindy and Travis Albright of Levelland and Jennifer and Jayson Featherston; grandchildren: Tate and Kaleigh Albright, Ben Terry and Brennon and Jayson Featherston; great-granddaughter, Reese Albright; brother, Larry Wayne Crawford; and cousin (sister), Mary Ann McKenzie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, BR; brother James Crawford; and a granddaughter, Tori Albright.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John’s United Methodist Church choir fund.
In support of the health of her family, face coverings are mandatory while attending the services.
