Funeral Services for Billy Wayne Chambers, 66, of Lubbock formerly of Whiteface will be held at 1 p.m. Friday December 11, at First Baptist Church of Morton with pastor Larry Brooks and assisting pastor Jacky Jerome Johnson officiating.
Interment will follow in the City of Whiteface Cemetery, under the direction of Head Duarte Funeral Home of Levelland.
Visitation will be held from 9 a..m. until 5 p.m. Wednesday, December 9 and Thursday, December 10, at Head Duarte Funeral Home of Levelland.
He passed away December 2, 2020, in Lubbock.
Billy Wayne was born July 2, 1954, to Aron, Jr. and Alma A. Chambers in Morton.
He graduated from Whiteface High School and continued his education at South Plains College.
Billy married Thelma Williams in 1976, and they had two sons from this union.
He was a professional truck driver for Texas Instruments for 16 years, Robert Heath Trucking Company for five years and Knight Trucking Company for five years.
Billy enjoyed watching old western movies, listening to R&B blues and he was a great cook with his famous chili and menudo dishes.
Billy was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Sundown.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aron, Jr.and Alma A. Chambers.
He is survived by his sons: Coby (Shun) Chambers and Fredrick Chambers; and duaghter, Katia Wilson, all of Lubbock; six grandchildren: Tiana Harper, Joshua, Yazmin, Caidence Chambers, L. A. Mc Brewer nad Dre McBrewer; two great-grandchildren: Josiah and Hezekiah Harper; sisters: Margie Chambers (George) Pritchett, Beverly (Kevin) Ray, Helen (James) Anderson, Mae Chambers, and Angela Chambers, all five of Lubbock; brothers: Bobby (Paulete) Chambers and Chris Chambers, both of Lubbock and Gary (Belinda) Chambers of North Richland Hills, Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews that loved their uncle Billy.
