Shirley Dianne Donica, 70, of Levelland, past away Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Denton.
Shirley was born March 23, 1950, in Winters, Texas, to Max Edward and Ruby Ilyn Reynolds Fisher.
She was married to Tommy Glenn Donica on December 7, 1968.
Shirley worked as a teacher’s aide for Levelland ISD.
She was a long-time member of Austin Street Church of Christ in Levelland.
Shirley was always accompanied by her service dog, Asbury, who she loved.
She is survived by her husband, Tommy Donica of Levelland; daughters, Shanna Donica of Levelland and Kayla Bleau of Denton; son, Jeffrey Donica of Collinsville, Oklahoma; mother, Ilyn Fisher of Sapulpa, Oklahom; sisters, Pamela Scott of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Debbie Bowers of Sapulpa; six grandchildren: Kimber Bleau, Kira Bleau, Jeryn Bleau, Jaelithe Bleau, Ethan Donica and Sophia Donica; and two great-grandchildren, Emma Edwards and James Hall.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ryan Lee Donica; father, Max Edward Fisher; and a brother, Gary Wayne Fisher.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 26, at Hamlin Memorial Cemetery in Hamlin, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, Shirley would have liked donations to be made to the CARES Foundation, P.O. Box 314, Concordia, Kansas, 66901, to help ensure that other individuals would have access to services dogs like Asbury.
