Viewing and visitation for Foy Elvert Thompson, Jr., 67, of Lubbock, will be held from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, March 19, in the Chapel of Calvillo Funeral Home of Lubbock.
With a prayer service beginning at 6:30 p.m. the same day.
Second day viewing will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 20, until dismissal and processional to Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
The graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 20, at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park with Rev. Dylan Sandlin officiating.
All arrangements were made under the direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.
Mr. Thompson was called to be with the Lord, Friday, March 12, 2021.
He was born November 3, 1953, in Lubbock, to the late Foy Sr. and Betty Thompson.
Later in life on December 22, 1998, he married Effie Adair in Lubbock treasuring 22 years of marriage together.
His family and friends will always remember Foy was the life of the party, he had a heart of gold and was always willing to help anyone in need. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Foy Thompson, Sr.; and three sisters: Linda Ruth Thompson, Carolyn Thomas and Marylin Burelsmith.
Survivors include his wife, Effie Thompson of Wolfforth; his mother, Betty Thompson of Smyer; three sons: Foy Thompson III and wife, Laura, of Leander, Trevor Ercanbrack and wife, Morgan, of Lubbock and Robbie Bradbury of Smyer; two daughters, Carla Thompson and Danielle Thompson, both of Lubbock; a brother, Buddy Thompson and wife, Sarah, of Levelland; a sister, Brenda Rackler and husband, Gary, of Smyer; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
