Visitation and funeral services for Betty Jo Thompson Kincaid will be held Saturday April 3, in the Chapel of Resthaven Funeral Home of Lubbock.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Services will begin at 10 a.m.

Betty was born March 1, 1930, in Portales, to parents Luther and Ruth Jackson.

She passed away March 26, 2021, in Levelland.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Foy E. Thompson, Sr. and James Kincaid; three daughters: Linda Ruth Thompson, Carolyn Thomas and Marilyn Burelsmith; and one son, Foy E. Thompson, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Rackler (Gary) of Smyer; son, Buddy Thompson (Sarah) of Levelland; sons-in-law, Eddie Thomas of Smyer and Gary Burelsmith of Winters; and daughter-in-law, Becky; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Betty became an LVN and worked at Saint Mary’s Hospital for 24 years dedicating her life to nursing and caring for others.

After retirement, she enjoyed crocheting, traveling, fishing and enjoying her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Interim Hospice Care and Levelland Nursing Home for the wonderful and compassionate care of Betty.
