Funeral services for Carol Gattis of Morton, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, at Eastside Church of Christ of Morton, with Joey Pierce of Levelland, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Morton Memorial Cemetery, under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home of Morton.
She passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021, in Morton.
Carol was born February 24, 1939, in Wolfe City, Texas to Harry Eugene and Gladys Beatrice Kelley Pierce.
She married Tommy Gattis March 29, 1956, in Maple Texas.
Carol was a member of the Eastside Church of Christ in Morton.
She was a wonderful mother, wife, grandmother and an amazing cook. She loved her family and they all adored her.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Roy Lee Pierce; and a son-in-law, Ronny Tucker.
She is survived by her husband, Tommy Gattis of Morton; three sons: Randy Gattis and wife, Tobie, of Morton, Robbie Gattis and wife, Rhonda, of Lawrence, Kansas and Roger Gattis and wife, Nita, of Sweetwater; a daughter, Janet Tucker of Tulia, Texas; two brothers, Willie Pierce of Longview and Steve Pierce of Concan Texas; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
The family suggest memorials be sent to New Mexico Children’s Home, 1356 New Mexico 236, Portales, New Mexico 88130.
