James E. Ruthardt

The family of James E. Ruthardt will celebrate his life of 78 years, at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, September 16, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers with a reception to follow.
He passed away September 11, 2021, in Lubbock.
James was born May 17, 1943, in Levelland, to Lloyd and Mary Alice Ruthardt.
He graduated from Morton High School and South Plains College and served in the United States Air Force.
James married Marolyn Morris Jones March 14, 1970, and they were parents to Cody and Chad.
He was preceded in death by his son, Chad Morris Ruthardt October 5, 1994; his parents; and his siblings, Bobby Ruthardt and Jetta Louise Smith.
James is survived by his wife; son, Cody and wife, Amy; two granddaughters, Kasey Ruthardt and Kelsey Zingaro and fiancé, Chris Young; two great-granddaughters, Payton and Addison; two great-grandsons, Keegan and Mason; brother, Ernest and wife, Carol Ann Ruthardt; and sister, Irene Blackwell; and six nieces; and one nephew; and sisters-in-law: Carolyn Williams and husband, Jack, Pam Adgate and husband, Gary, and Brenda Morris.
The family of James Ruthardt has designated the Bacon Heights Baptist Church Building fund for memorial contributions donated in his memory.
