Commissioners approve racial profiling report; take action on agreements & library plan

The Hockley County Commissioners’ Court unanimously voted to terminate a memorandum of understanding between the county and state, approve the county library’s five-year play and accept the sheriff department’s annual racial profiling report during Monday’s meeting.

Commissioners also approved interlocal agreements between the county and the City of Ropesville, the City of Sundown and Cochran County during the meeting.

They also approved the trade-in of a 2017 John Deere 770 G Motor Grader, authorized advertising for bids for the hauling of 4,000 cubic yards of caliche from the pit in Precinct 3 to a site on Kansas Road and approved the certificate of completion of continuing education courses taken by County Clerk Jennifer Palermo.
