Robert ‘Bob’ Gene Rose

Robert ‘Bob’ Gene Rose, 83, of Whitney, Texas, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022, in Waco, Texas.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, February 11, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney, with Bruce Martin officiating.
Burial will follow at Prairie Valley Cemetery in Whitney.
A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, February 10, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel.
Robert was born November 15, 1938, in Brownfield, to John Riley and Mary Elizabeth Rose.
He served in the United States Army and worked in the petroleum oil field for more than 41 years and 21 years with Oxydential City Service.
Bob and Carleen retired to Whitney in 2002.
He enjoyed camping with his family, going to Las Vegas and watching sports.
Bob also loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Carleen Rose; brothers and sisters: Gladys Geneva, Jay Rose, Cue Rose, Inez Duffy, Irene Brown, Ed Rose, Nina Depoister, Fay Warren, Donald Rose, Christine Purvis and Mark Rose; and parents, John Riley and Mary Elizabeth Rose.
Bob is survived by his children: Scott Rose and wife, Teresa, of Levelland, Brian Rose and wife, Lisa, of Sundown, ans Carrie Glass and husband, Matt Glass of Cibolo; and sister, Mary Nell of Odessa; and seven grandchildren: Aaron Jordan Rose, Audra Breann Rose, Lawrence Riley Rose, Robert Evan Rose and Rian Michael Rose, all of Levelland, and Michael Alan Glass and Nathan Tyler Glass, both of Cibolo.
