A Levelland Community Celebration was held Sunday evening in downtown. However, a severe thunderstorm swept through the area prompting a change in plans. The community volunteers packed up and moved their grill to the Levelland Fire Station and began handing out burgers, hot dogs and drinks in a drive-through style.
A Levelland Community Celebration was held Sunday evening in downtown. Before the rain, wind and hail blew through the area, community members were enjoying live music, free food and games on the square. The live music was provided by Brent Wheeler and Hadlie Jo. Renegade, Sundown State Bank and Faith BBQ cooked the burgers and hot dogs. Ag Texas Farm Credit provided waters. Levelland ISD provided tables and Hillside Church provided the games.
