Sundown Middle School Robotics had a solid showing this past Saturday at the First Lego League Lubbock Qualifier led by robotics coach Ashley Bufe.
The Artifact Armor team earned a Champion Award, second in Robotic Performance and qualified for the Panhandle Regional Championship. Team members include Eli Rodgers, Case Davis, Noah Pool, Kobe Hogan, BreAllyn Griffith, and Emma Pena.
The Indiana Janes team won the Core Values Award and is a Panhandle Regional Qualifier. Team members are Emerson Demel, Janie Kearney, Caroline Martin, Hope Bush, Roxie Hall, Brynn Carr, and Mali Sims.
The GeoVision team was an Innovation Project Finalist with team members Jazlyn Huerta, Everett Perez, Stellan Sanders, Valentina Carrion, Wyatt Sanchez, and Avery Belew.
The Aero Arch team won the Engineering Excellence Award and placed 6th in Robot Performance. Team members are Hank Davis, Ryker Strickland, Noah Bermea, Carter Mauldin, and Beckham Biggs.
