The Levelland City Council will be holding its regular meeting on May 19 at city hall at 6 p.m. Council members for District A and District B are expected to be sworn in and consider action to elect a Mayor Pro Tem.
A public hearing is on the agenda regarding Ordinance No. 1116 to amend Article 9.500 “Zoning Regulations”. No action is expected until the June 8 meeting.
Items expected to be acted on by the council include a bid for City Park ballfield fencing, a Sourcewell quote for a loader and the disposal of city surplus items by bids, auction or donation.
A discussion is scheduled for the transition/ merger of the 4A Economic Development Corporation into the 4B Community Development Corporation.
The council is expected to take action to approve TxDOT Project #2505LVLND Airport Project Participation Agreement for the airport lighting project.
A discussion concerning the city council calendar for orientation, training and budget work and meeting is on the agenda.
City Manager James Fisher is expected to give staff updates, recognition and items of community interest.
