The Hockley County Commissioners Court approved the appointment of Nicole Griffin as county attorney at the meeting on Monday.
Griffin will be taking the reins of county attorney the resignation of Anna Hord following her appointment to the 286th District Court by Gov. Greg Abbott. Commissioners also approved the bond for Griffin.
In other action, commissioners approved the corrected Multiple Use Agreement between Hockley County and the Texas Department of Transportation which was previously approved on Jan. 27, 2025 concerning indemnification.
Commissioners also approved the Nune Pro Tunc, dated dec. 22, 2025 to change the year model of the motor grader that was traded in from 202 to 2023 and the model of the motor grader that was purchased from 140M@ to 150 for use in Precinct 4.
