- LISD on Monday celebrated Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a cherished Mexican tradition where families honor and remember their loved ones who have passed away. LHS art students created Sugar Skull, a symbol of the celebration that represent the joy, personality and spirit as a reminder of life and death are an ongoing story, inspired by art teacher Kristy Kristinek.
