Fire Department dispatched to the 3300 block of Drill Stem Rd, regarding reports of heavy smoke in a field. Upon arrival crew found unattended pvc pipe burning in a pit.
Fire department extinguished fire and return to station.
Dec. 11
Fire Department dispatched to the 200 block of Clubview Drive to assist with removing a fugitive from the roof. Upon arrival, crew assisted task force in getting the fugitive down and into custody. Personnel cleared the scene and returned to station.
Fire Department dispatched to the 600 block of 10th Street to assist LPD with unlocking a vehicle. Advised while enroute that vehicle was unlocked. Units returned to station.
Dec. 12
Fire Department dispatched to the 500 block of Evening Tower Road regarding a report of the odor of gas. Crew arrived and made contact with owner of property and used the gas monitor to locate gas or H2s but found none. Units cleared the scene and returned to station.
Fire Department E-8 and B-14 dispatched to the 100 block of County Road regarding a fire alarm going off at the nursing home. Upon arrival, LPD cleared units after notification the alarm company had been contacted. Units returned to station.
Fire Department B-14 dispatched to the 1700 block of 9th Street regarding a report of an outside fire in a residential back yard. Upon arrival, crew observed an active burning fire within the backyard and deployed a hose line to extinguish visible flames and continued to cool the area, spread out debris and ensure smoldering material was fully extinguished. The scene was cleared and units returned to station.

Dec. 11
Fire Department dispatched to the 200 block of Clubview Drive to assist with removing a fugitive off a roof. Upon arrival crew assisted LPD task force with getting fugitive off roof and all fire department personnel were cleared from scene and returned to station.
Fire Department dispatched to the 600 block of 10th Street to assist LPD with unlocking a vehicle.
While enroute, advised vehicle was unlocked and fire was no longer needed. All fire units returned to station.
Dec. 12
Fire Department dispatched to the 500 block of Evening Tower Road regarding a report of the odor of gas. Upon arrival crew made contact with owner of property and tried to locate gas or H2s and found none. Scene was cleared and units returned to station.
Fire Department E-8 and B-14 dispatched to100 block of County Road regarding a fire alarm at the nursing home. LPD advised the alarm company had been contacted and all units were cleared from scene and returned to station.
Fire Department B-14 dispatched to the 1700 block of 9th Street regarding an outside fire in a residential backyard. Upon arrival,, B14 observed an active fire burning inside the backyard area of the residence. Two firefighters deployed a hose line to extinguish visible flames and crews continued to cool area, spread out debris and ensure all smoldering materials were extinguished. Scene was cleared and units returned to station.

Fire Department assisted LPD with Blue Santa.
Dec. 14
Fire Department E-8, T3 and S-11 dispatched to the 100 block of Alamo Road regarding a possible structure fire, While enroute, dispatch advised it was a paper fire that was out but that fire personnel were still needed. Upon arrival, crews observed a small amount of white smoke coming out of west door of the structure. Upon investigation, personnel found an oven on its side with smoke coming from the door. Crew removed oven out of structure and found electrical wiring and trash and smoldering inside the oven. Fire personnel. Fire personnel cleared the house of smoke, cleared the scene and returned to station.
Fire Department E-8 dispatched to the 1200 block of Ave C regarding a CO detector going off. Crew spoke with home resident who reported leaving to get dinner and upon returning found detector going off. Fire personnel investigated residence and found traces of CO inside house using a gas monitor. Crew shut off gas to house and advised dispatch to have Atmos come to scene, Resident told to not enter house until Atmos arrived. Units cleared from scene and returned to station.
Fire Department dispatched to Houston Street and Evening Tower Road regarding a possible telephone pole sparking. Upon arrival fire personnel investigated the area and found the pole about a quarter mile from intersection. OXY representative arrived on scene and disable the fuses to the power pole. Fire personnel deemed the area safe of fire and hazards and cleared the scene and returned to station.
Dec. 15
Fire Department dispatched to the 400 block of Pine regarding a dumpster fire. Crew pulled red line and extinguished fire and cleared the scene and returned to station.
Dec. 17
Fire Department dispatched to the 1500 block of Ave H regarding oil coming from ground and running toward street. Upon arrival, crew found oil in roadway and 409 was away of the situation and had contacted Oxy. The well was being shut in and units worked with the street department to dike and cover the oil spill and monitor for H2s, as well as assisting with one-lane traffic control. Units returned to station after scene was cleared.
Fire Department E-8 dispatched to the 300 Block of Cottonwood regarding the smell of gas. Crew arrived to a single-story residence with garage door open. Personnel detected 5ppm of CO and 1% explosive in master bedroom. Personnel evacuated the residents and called Atmos. E-8 shut off the gas at the meter. Atmos arrived on scene and detected CO coming from the drains and after testing the lines, determined the odor was from the incident on Ave. H. Units were cleared from the scene and returned to station.
Fire Department dispatched to Hwy 114 and 5 Mile Road regarding a one vehicle roll over and were advised there injuries and entrapment. Upon arrival, crew began stabilizing the vehicle and extrication began. Once patient was removed through the roof, assisted EMS with loading patient. Fire personnel were cleared from scene and returned to station.
