March 22
Fire Department B-14 and T-9 dispatched to the 6300 block of E 114 regarding a mutual aid call from Smyer VFD requesting assistance. Upon arrival, units assisted SVFD with extinguishment. Once fire was under control, LFD was cleared from scene to return to station.
March 23
Fire Department dispatched to the 6300 block of East Cactus regarding a grass fire. Upon arrival fire had been extinguished and it was grass and horse manure. Area that was smoldering was watered down and scene cleared. Units returned to station.
March 24
Fire Department B-14 dispatched to the intersection of N. Hwy 385 and Alaska Road regarding a gas leak and meter/line struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival , Atmos was location. Fire crew performed standby as per request by Atmos. Gas leak had been stopped prior to LFD arrival. Atmos personnel continued to repair damage, and once repaired, LFD was cleared from scene. Units returned to station.
Fire Department E-8 and T-3 dispatched to the 500 block of A&M Lane regarding a report of smoke inside an apartment. Upon arrival, crew made entry and confirmed presence of light smoke within the residence, and a primary search was conducted, and no active fire was located. Crew deployed positive pressure fan to ventilate and clear smoke from the interior. Scene was cleared and units returned to station.
March 25
Fire Department dispatched to the intersection of Hwy 114 and Alamo regarding a 2-vehicle collision. Upon arrival, crew observed that one vehicle was in the turning lane and the other pushed to side of ride and both drivers were out of the vehicles walking around. Fire personnel checked on the drivers and assisted the towing company with loading the two vehicles. Scene was cleared and units returned to station.
