Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas will be holding a free civil rights clinic that will be held twice in March at two separate Lubbock locations.
Legal Aid will be partnering with the Mae Simmons Community Center on March 13, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The community center is located at 2004 Oak Avenue, Lubbock, TX, 79403.
For the second clinic, Legal Aid will be partnering with St. John’s United Methodist Church on March 27, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. St. John’s is located at 1501 University Avenue, Lubbock, TX, 79401.
Legal matters that can be discussed include landlord or tenant issues, unemployment benefits, foreclosure prevention, public benefits denial, Medicare or Medicaid benefits, expunctions or nondisclosures, bankruptcy and family law matters.
Individuals are required to register beforehand.

Applicants must be financial eligibility to obtain free help, but all who need assistance are encouraged to apply.
