Graf endows scholarship for sound technology students

Sound technology professional Patrick Graf has established a $15,000 endowment that showcases the dedication South Plains College alumni have to their alma mater.

A dedicated supporter of South Plains College and the community of Levelland, Davy Dean “Dave” Graf passed away in May of 2020. He was an SPC alumnus who earned an associate degree in real estate. In 2012, Dave established the Helen Grappe Graf Memorial Scholarship in Graphic Arts to honor his wife who had passed away two years earlier. Dave and Helen’s son Patrick Graf, also an SPC alumnus, established this endowment to support students who are active in the SPC theater. Students enrolled in SPC’s sound technology program who maintain at least a 2.5 GPA can benefit from the scholarship.

Graf’s generosity continues a meaningful family legacy of support at SPC. He is the son of the late Dave and Helen Grappe Graf, whose commitment to students endures through the Helen Grappe Graf Memorial Scholarship in Graphic Arts and the Dave Graf Memorial Scholarship.

Through this new endowment, the Graf family’s dedication to education will continue to resonate for generations of students at SPC.
