The Hockley County Commissioners’ Court will be holding two regular meetings Monday, July 28, in the Commissioners’ Courtroom.
The regular meeting will begin at 9 a.m. beginning with: Reading for approval of the minutes for the following: - Regular meeting held July 21; and - Regular meeting held July 21.
Read for approval all monthly bills and claims submitted to the Court dated through July 28; Submission of the appraisal roll for the taxing unit showing the total appraised, assessed, and taxable values of all property and the total taxable value of new property to the Court by Misty Taylor, Tax Assessor; Certification of anticipated collection rate for 2025 to the Court by Misty Taylor, Tax Assessor; Consider and take necessary action to approve Ad Valorem tax refunds; Consider and take necessary action on Amendment #1 of Airport Project Participation Agreement between TxDOT Aviation and Hockley County, TxDOT Project No.:25ALLEVEL; Consider and take necessary action to approve the Memorandum of Agreement regarding the Warrant Officer Program as submitted by the Hockley County Sheriff; Discussion and potential action concerning approval of Contract with Duro Last, a member of TIPS-USA, concerning roofing project for 710 Ave. H, Levelland, Texas; Discussion and potential action concerning approval of the Application to Request Use of Courthouse Lawn as submitted by the Abundant Praise Worship Center Ministries to hold “Pray Levelland” on August 12, 2025 from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.; and Review the June 2025 fire runs as submitted by the City of Levelland.
A second meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. where a budget workshop will be held.
