The 286th Judicial District Attorney’s Office announced that a Hockley County Grand Jury convened April 9 and returned 13 indictments.
Martin Longoria, 58, was charged with criminal mischief and deadly conduct discharge of a firearm.
A first count stated on or about January 26, Longoria, intentionally and knowingly damaged or destroyed tangible property, namely, tractor-trailer with a sleeper cab, by shooting the tractor-trailer with a sleeper cab, without the effective consent of the owner of the property, and thereby caused pecuniary loss of $2,500 or more but less than $30,000 to the owner.
A second count stated on or about January 26, Longoria, knowingly discharged a firearm at or in the direction of four individuals.
Nathan Martinez, 21, was charged with burglary of a habitation.
On or about January 18, Martinez, intentionally and knowingly entered a habitation, without the effective consent of the owner, and attempted to commit or committed an assault against said owner.
Adrian Martinez, 43, was charged for bestiality.
On or about November 13, 2024, Martinez, knowingly engaged in an act involving contact between the defendant and an animal, namely German Shepard/Border Collie mix and the defendant’s conduct was not a generally accepted or lawful animal husbandry or veterinary practice.
Angel Silberio Hernandez II, 30, was charged with credit card or debit card abuse.
On or about December 20, 2024, Hernandez had the intent to fraudulently obtain a benefit, use a Venmo card, with knowledge that the card had not been issued to the defendant, and with knowledge that the card was not used with the effective consent of the cardholder.
The indictment also stated the defendant was convicted on or about January 6, 2021, for the felony offenses of possession of controlled substance penalty group one, less than one gram and the fraudulent use or possession of identifying information of less than five items, in the 286th District Court of Hockley County.
John Michael Macias, 34, was charged with the harassment of a public servant.
On or about December 14, 2024, Macias with the intent to harass, or alarm, caused the complainant, a person the defendant knew to be a public servant, namely, deputy sheriff of Hockley County, to contact the saliva of Macias and the complainant was lawfully discharging and officially duty namely arresting the defendant.
Rudy Leonardo Puentos-Silos, 25 was charged with the possession of a controlled substance penalty group one, 1B, greater than one gram but less than four grams.
On or about December 30, Puentos-Silos, intentionally and knowingly possessed a controlled substance, namely cocaine, in the amount of a gram or more but less than four grams.
J’Sean Darrell Osakque, 21, was charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.
On or about November 14, 2024, intentionally or knowingly and recklessly caused serious bodily injury to a female individual, by twisting her arms or by causing her to strike a hard object, namely a dumpster and the ground, thus causing fractures in both wrists.
Rebecca Taylor, 40, was charged with possession of controlled substance penalty group one, less than one gram.
On or about December 30, 2024, Taylor, intentionally and knowingly possessed a controlled substance, namely methamphetamine, in an amount of less than one gram.
Trevor Kershman, 27, was charged with assaulting a family house member impeding breathing circulation.
On or about January 25, Kershman, knowingly and recklessly caused bodily injury to a female individual, a member of the defendant’s family or member of the defendant’s household or person with whom the defendant had or has had been dating relationship by intentionally impeding the normal breathing or circulation of the blood of the complainant by applying pressure to the throat or neck and or blocking the nose or mouth of the complainant.
Elizabeth Ann Smith, 49, was charged with the possession of a controlled substance penalty group one, less than one gram.
On or about September 30, 2024, Smith, intentionally and knowingly possessed a controlled substance, namely methamphetamine, in an amount of less than one gram.
Ruben Toscano Davila Jr., 51, was charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group one, less than one gram.
On or about January 6, Davila Jr., intentionally and knowingly possessed a controlled substance, namely methamphetamine, in an amount of less than one gram.
Jose Luis Garza, 35, was charged with the possession of a controlled substance penalty group two, less than one gram.
On or about October 8, 2024, Garza, intentionally and knowingly possessed a controlled substance, namely a material, compound, mixture, or preparation in an amount of less than one gram that contained a quantity of methamphetamine.
