Read for approval the minutes for the regular meeting held on August 12; Read for approval all monthly bills and claims submitted to the Court dated through August 19; Public hearing on the adoption of the 2025 budget; Consider and take necessary action to vote to set salaries, expenses and allowances of all elected officials; Consider and take necessary action to adopt the 2025 budget; Public hearing on tax increase; Consider ratifying the property tax increase reflected in the 2025 budget; Consider setting the tax rate for 2024;
Consider and take necessary action to approve the request of Investigator Troy Tillman of the Hockley County Sheriff’s Office for reimbursement for out-ofstate travel to Norman, Oklahoma to attend Axon Taser Instructor Course held at Moore Norman Technology Center (4701 12th Ave NW) August 19 and 20; Consider and take necessary action to approve the monthly reports due as per 114.044 Local Government Code as submitted by the Hockley County District Clerk, Hockley County Clerk, Hockley County Auditor and Justice of the Peace Precincts 1, 2, 4 and 5; Adjourn.
