The Levelland City Council will hold its regular meeting on Dec. 15 to consider a block grant, payments, appointments and ordinances. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. at city hall.
The council is expected to consider and take possible action on a payment request from MH Civil Constructors for the 1.8 MGD Wastewater Treatment Plant and City of Levelland board appointments for the Cemetery Board and LEDC boards.
Additionally, the council is expected to consider and take necessary action on several ordinances including No. 1100 (building code), No. 1101 (electrical code), No. 1102 (fire codes), No. 1103 (residential code), No.1104 (energy conservation), No.1105 (plumbing code), No 1107 (mechanical codes), No. 1108 (building code), No. 1109 (property maintenance code), and No. 1110 (swimming pool and spa code).
The agenda also includes a discussion of the Fire Department Salary Survey and Type A and Type B Levelland Development Corporations.
City manager James Fisher is expected to give a report on staff and project updates, recognition and items of community interest.
The council is expected to convene into executive session to deliberate property, appointments, evaluations and employees as well as any other legal issues.
